After Dark Palette Deets!

First off, I know I’m a little late to the party in talking about this After Dark palette. (Sorry!) I had a bit of a crazy situation in trying to get it. When I ordered it online, I had a typo in my address so it got lost & I had to reorder it. Way to go, Britney. Regardless, its an amazing palette and I still want to talk about it. This palette is gorgeous! I could stare at the purple iridescent packaging all day. Okay, not really but still, its so unique. The palette comes with 10 duo chrome or metallic shimmer shades, a full sized mirror and a double ended brush. One end of the brush is perfect for blending, while the other can be used to pack color onto the lid.

I love how versatile this palette is. It has relatively wearable everyday shades but also caters to people who prefer something a little bolder. The price of the palette is $49 which on the more expensive side. However, if you buy any of their individual shadows, they’re around $20 so it ends up being a good deal. (Thats how I justify my spending, anyway.)

I noticed right away that the shadows are really pigmented, buildable and creamy. Its important to note that you need clean lids, and some sort of base in order to get the most payoff.

I realized after writing everything out that the After Dark palette is currently sold out on Sephora’s website. This is supposed to be a limited edition palette so I’m not sure if they’ll be having any restocks. (Normally LE includes some type of restock though.) As far as I know, you can still get it in stores and it is still available on Urban Decay’s website here.

Onto the look…

I did use other shadows that aren’t in this palette but thats because I can’t do strictly shimmer in a look. As I mention in the video, you don’t need the 35O palette for the colors in the crease. As long as you have an orange shadow then you’ll still be good. Also, if you’re looking to get the vibrancy that I did, then wetting your brush with a setting spray helps a ton!
